VIC-TOURS & MIKEY-B SPORTFISHING operates out of Flamingo Beach, Guanacaste. Our office is located in the Flamingo Beach Resort Hotel. We bring over 20 years of local fishing experience to our clients, and we are confident that we can take care of your groups in Playa Flamingo and Guanamar.

We have a full list of boats that VIC-TOURS & MIKEY-B SPORTFISHING operate directly, plus a number of other boats that we can book for large groups. The best time for Marlin fishing begins around early December, January and February, and has been known to run all the way through May, June and July in the Flamingo area.

Although most species are caught year round, for big Pacific Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo, the best months are May through November. For Rooster Fish and Cubera Snapper, the best months are also May through November. These fish are incredibly strong, and slow trolling (with live baits) is the preferred method. Just don’t forget your camera!

Michael Bonaiuto is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain, and he has spent the past 25 years fishing in numerous countries all over the world. After fishing the fertile waters of Costa Rica for the past several years, he realized that there is no better place on Earth for both offshore and inshore species. He also has a successful charter fishing company on the East coast of Florida, and has spent many years fishing throughout the islands of the Bahama's. He has worked with world renowned Captain Jim Gallagher, and has acquired many skills and techniques that are used by noted anglers on 4 different continents. He is an accomplished tournament competitor in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, as well as many tournaments throughout the Carribean. Our customers continually benefit from his expertise, along with the various techniques that he has introduced to the local fishing customs.
